Approximately 8" x 2" x 1" (200mm x 50mm x 25mm), this stone is ULTRA hard, and is very pressure dependent. With heavy pressure it will perform at a 1500-2500 grit level, and with very light pressure will produce a 6000-8000 grit polish. It also plays very well with slurry generated with other stones (both synthetic and natural). I will often use a King 1000 slurry for breaking in a new edge, a JKI Gesshin 4000 slurry for pre-finishing, and clean water with dish soap for the final passes after stropping. This is currently the only stone I use to sharpen my knives. Price includes Paypal fees and shipping in the continental US, and there is a $10 discount for www.kitchenknifefora.com members.
